Ren Caldwell, Strength & Conditioning Coach

I’ve been a trainer and coach for over 20 years, and have never been more excited about my job as I am now. I value the wonderful people who make up our Strive & Uplift community so highly – they push me to listen more, keep learning and growing, and expand my ideas of what people of all ages and abilities can accomplish! 

For the last 10 years I’ve worked with individuals, coaches and teams, providing coaching and programming to improve movement patterns and safely load bodies for better performance and injury reduction. I’m especially dedicated to working with young female athletes, as they’re under-resourced compared to their male counterparts – and I’m passionate about helping people bridge the gap between rehab and returning to play/activity! I’m particularly interested in using kettlebells and bodyweight movements to unlock movement potential, and exploring all the ways that self-care and research-based recovery techniques can amplify results.

I’ve struggled for years to make peace with the changes in my body from childbirth (two C-sections) and have experienced a rollercoaster of emotions from denial to acceptance and all the places in between. We all struggle with self-image and are sometimes frustrated by changes in our bodies – that’s why my biggest thrill is the feedback I get when someone tells me they’ve added an inch to their vertical, can now move through daily tasks without pain, or made it through their season without injury for the first time. Results-oriented fitness and wellness is my passion!
